Forgive the Things You Can't Forget
You only have to forgive those things you CAN'T forget. Forgiveness is For Giving as a undeserved gift. People err when they think it means laying down to be run over again, it doesn't. It mean we're going to fail to recall, we're going to fail to relive that incident, we're going to turn loose of, the sharp, sudden, sickening, pain, we're not going to dwell on it, because the hell of it is to dwell in it. Forgiving is to choose, not to do that. It is to choose to let it go, to let it alone. It requires effort to fail to recall. I read a quote once by the woman who founded the American Red Cross when questioned about an incident, she said she didn't remember, but after being reminded and questioned further stated, "I distinctly recall forgetting that."
You can say I forgive you, but that ain't all.
To truly forgive you must fail to recall.
